GRACE

In the Hebrew hieroglyphics language grace is a picture of a wall and of a seed. It means camp and beauty: Camp means: within this wall is the family clan, a place of freedom, compassion and beauty. Grace means: to work or do an action without wages or without cause. Beauty means: to give or show beauty, grace or mercy to another. It also means: freely, innocent, mercy, compassion. Cost me nothing, without cost, without wages, for nothing.

Ephesians 2 verses 4-9; but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory.
Let's break down this scripture, for by grace (freely, without cause, without wages, costing nothing, without cost) have you been saved (rescued, freed, helped, salvation, succor, get victory) through faith (no doubt, trust, sure, indeed, truth, truly, amen); and not of yourself (you = nothing you can, will or could do), it is the gift (give, what is given, reward, payment, present) of God; not of works (labor, a work, action or deed, making or doing of anything), that no man should glory.

Titus 3 verses 4-7; But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Acts 2 verses 38-39; And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

Romans 5 verses 15-18; But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many. And not as through one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment came of one unto condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses unto justification. For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, even Jesus Christ. So then as through one trespass the judgment came unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness the free gift came unto all men to justification of life.

Romans 4 verses 6-8; Even as David also describes the blessing upon the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness apart from works, saying,
Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 4 verses 15-16; for the law worketh wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression. For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

As we can see from the scriptures above, Titus tells us not by any of our righteous works and Acts and Romans tells us that the Holy Spirit and righteousness is a free gift bestowed on us from God because of His Grace. God's righteousness is given/imputed to us because of His grace because of our faith.
